Entertainers

The Entertainers have put on an annual play every year since 2007, usually in February. Sometimes the plays have been written by residents, while at other times they are purchased from a drama service. Our cast ranges from 15 to 30 residents. They are generally humorous, and some have included musical numbers. Past titles have included short versions of “South Pacific”, “Guys & Dolls”, “My Fair Lady”, and “Camelot”. in 2012, our own Marlene Borne wrote “I Love You Arizona” which was ultimately recognized by the State for it’s contribution to the Arizona Centennial year. Other titles have included “How The West Was Dun”, “Love Boat II”, and “The Golden Girl’s Rock It”.

Club Announcements

Our latest play, “Holy Mother Of Bingo” will be presented on February 15th and 18th, 2025, at 7 PM. It is a humorous murder mystery bingo theatre with audience participation. Come check it out!

Fundraisers and More

All of our income is from ticket sales. No fundraisers. We usually have a fun Cast Party afterwards.

Meetings

At the end of a season, most cast members indicate whether they would like to be in the following year’s play. This would be a good time for new prospective members to come forward with their interest for the following year. The play itself is usually selected by Summer, and we begin rehearsals in January, typically twice a week until showtime in February.
